Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Physics, Chemistry, Math, or Engineering, with some management courses preferred.

MAINSAIL Group is in search of junior to senior level Business Systems Analysts to support DARPA's Tactical Technology Office (TTO).  We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic individuals to support DARPA in formulating, coordinating, monitoring, and transitioning advanced research and development programs to the U.S. military. Applicants must possess superior oral and written communications skills. Candidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • Two or more years of experience with workforce, financial, and/or other corporate business operations functions.  Knowledge of analytical principles, methodologies and techniques. Understanding of data visualization techniques, and tailoring views to different audiences. Proficient in research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of analytical software. Experience related to working as part of a team in the delivery of product or service.
  • Demonstrated experience in data collection, data management, data strategy, data visualization, analysis of alternatives, metrics development, and the application of analytical principles in providing robust decision support products to senior leadership. 
  • Experience related to project planning, recommending timelines and milestones, and identify risk areas; working and consulting with cross-functional teams in the delivery of a product or service; developing analytical models in spreadsheets and using presentation tools to facilitate communication with stakeholders.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in the application of analytical principles and techniques, to include problem/objective formulation, defining measures of effectiveness and measures of performance, providing alternatives, developing analytical models, evaluating alternatives, and communicating results
  • Demonstrated experience developing Program Acquisition Documentation, Testing Criteria, Corrective Action Systems, Program Monitoring Approach (e.g. PERT, CPM, EVM), and Cost Estimates
  • Demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in anticipating and solving problems in financial, administrative and program management
  • Experience in tracking technical and financial milestones as well as creating and coordinating budget and acquisition funding documents
  • Experience working in DARPA or similar organization is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures
  • Experience with DARPA funding procedures and models and/or the Navy Working Capital Fund business model

Responsibilities

Technical and management responsibilities may include:

  • Providing program and financial management support of advanced technology research, development and demonstration programs
  • Support evaluating new program concepts, technical proposals, and white papers; develop and support execution of program acquisition strategy, source selection evaluation, and briefing support
  • Authoring program status briefings, financial reports, DoD acquisition documentation and cost estimates
