MAINSAIL Group is in search of Technical Analysts to support DARPA's Tactical Technology Office (TTO). We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and dynamic individuals to support DARPA in formulating, coordinating, monitoring, and transitioning advanced research and development programs to the U.S. military. Applicants must possess superior oral and written communications skills. Candidates should be self-starters capable of working both independently and as part of across-functional team working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.


Required Experience:

Two or more years of experience in technical specifications development, process analysis and design, technical problem solving, and analytical/logical thinking.  Demonstrated experience in the computer graphics or database design field.  The ability to work independently in a technical program support environment.

Desired qualifications:

  • Experience in the application of analytical principles and techniques, to include problem/objective formulation, defining measures of effectiveness and measures of performance, providing alternatives, developing analytical models, evaluating alternatives, and communicating results
  • Experience with analysis and preparation of high-quality computer-generated documents and graphics for technical programs
  • Experience with the design and development of automated data processing and software tools supporting complex program management requirements (including but not limited of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point)
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation(FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures
  • Experience working in DARPA or similar R&D organization is highly desirable
  • Experience, background and knowledge of one or more of the following emerging technology areas:
    - Artificial intelligence
    - Autonomous operations
    - Collaborative autonomy
    - Human-machine learning
    - Open software and hardware architectures
    - Robotics and mobile technologies
    - Space-based networking
    - Distributed air operations
    - Unmanned/counter unmanned vehicles


Technical responsibilities may include:

  • Computer support services including system design and development, graphics presentation, publication, technical illustrations, multimedia and display graphics
  • Preparation, design and integration of projects to support contract deliverables
  • Management, planning and direction of design production team
  • Evaluation of new program concepts, technical proposals, and white papers
  • Supporting the execution of program acquisition strategy, source selection evaluation, and briefing support
